History of the Reflections Art Program

In its 40-year history, the Reflections Art Program has encouraged millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to explore their artistic talents. The Reflections Program was started in 1969 by then Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson.

Lang Ranch Elementary was founded in 1998 and our first year to participate in the Reflections Art Program was 2000. We had 24 entries. Under the diligent efforts of PTA volunteers, the program has mushroomed into a thriving Lang Ranch tradition with annual participation levels of 150-200 students!

Over the years the Reflections Art Program themes truly "reflect" our national culture. Just take a look at the ever-evolving themes proposed by K-12 students.
